Biography
Emerging from the crust punk scene of the East-German hinterland in 2011, VICTIMS OF CLASSWAR quickly started to capture more and more metal hearts and earned themselves the reputation as a first-rate live act with a brutal stage energy and unteachable charisma. Following a tireless underground schedule for years, they exceeded all early genre limits and found themselves playing on other continents before even having the time to record a full album.
After two split releases, several tours through Great Britain, Belarus, Scandinavia, the Baltics and even the Middle East, they suffered the well-known slump thanks to the pandemic, causing relocations by singer/bassist Klára and guitar player Arne as well as troubles on the drums, which would ultimately be resolved by the inclusion of Chris (known from Diabolic Night, Nuctemeron, JT Ripper and others). This new line-up immediately entered the studio of Anton Hoyer (Deathrite) in 2023 to record “Invitation to a Funeral”, forging brandnew tracks together with the strongest material from the early days into a long overdue statement that’s bound to catapult VICTIMS OF CLASSWAR back to the frontiers of today’s Metalpunk wasteland.
The album comes on black vinyl in a polylined sleeve with an exclusive poster inlay. Official release date is 19 september 2025, followed by a release show on september 27 in Störnstein (Bavaria) – the LP can now be ordered via Bleeding Heart Nihilist Productions and Angry Voice Records!
